Across the country, collectors embraced a delightfully mischievous challenge—bringing Hide & Seek Hero home and tucking him into scenes full of personality, humor, and holiday magic. Some hid him in cozy corners or took him to see the sights! Some placed him right in the middle of the action. And some made him so cleverly hidden we’re still zooming in to find him. But one entry made us stop, smile, and look twice.
Please join us in congratulating Jeff L. of Clifton, NJ for his winning entry! This entry featured a brilliantly playful scene where Hide & Seek Hero was tucked among a lively gathering of Annalee characters—so cleverly hidden that even our judges had to take a second and third look. What made his entry especially clever was the thoughtful use of patriotic-inspired Annalee designs throughout the scene. The rich mix of red, white, and striped elements created a festive visual rhythm that helped the Hide & Seek Hero blend right into the celebration—making this a truly standout “hide and seek” moment.
It was imaginative, nostalgic, and full of the playful spirit that makes Hide & Seek Hero such a joy to collect—storytelling, surprises, and a little bit of “can you find him?” magic. Even better? Jeff didn’t create it alone. He teamed up with his children, Jack and Grace, turning the contest into a full family adventure filled with ideas, laughter, and plenty of debate over the best hiding spots. What started as a simple entry quickly became a shared creative tradition.
Jeff shared, “Of course we were THRILLED to win this special contest! We really had fun trying to hide Waldo amongst the cast of Annalee characters. I grew up searching for Waldo in the books, and as soon as I heard about the contest, I knew what I wanted to do—and I was thrilled to do this with my kiddos.”
As our grand prize winners, Jeff, Jack, and Grace will now collaborate with the Annalee elves and design team to bring a one-of-a-kind custom creation to life—made just for their family. And their ideas are already bursting with holiday whimsy:

With so many creative entries, we also wanted to recognize a standout runner-up: Mary G. of Tulsa, OK. Mary took her Hide & Seek Hero on a Route 66-inspired cruising adventure, capturing the spirit of open-road discovery as the little adventurer traveled along one of America’s most iconic highways. Her entry perfectly reflected the playful, wander-filled spirit of Hide & Seek Hero—always on the move, always part of the story.
We loved seeing this journey so much that we had to share it alongside our winner and highlight just how imaginative our collectors truly are.
