A Fall Foliage Event for the Whole Family 2017 hobo poster

From September 16th through October 15th, the Hobo Railroad of Lincoln, NH will be hosting their “Hobo Harvest Time Express” event. During this time their property takes on an entirely new look! First, there is the addition of a farm stand stocked with New Hampshire made products along with a farm yard full of games for all ages. Patrons can enjoy things like pumpkin bowling, ring toss, horse shoes, bean bag toss, sack races and corn hole. There is also an antique tractor display. For the past four years, Annalee has been helping the folks at the Hobo Railroad by building the “Cornstalk Critters” that also decorate their farm yard. These life sized scarecrows make fun photo ops for everyone stopping by!

Building Custom Scarecrows

This year’s theme for the cornstalk critters is called “Scarecrows of Sports”. Included in the mix of eight straw-filled characters are NHL hockey legend Bobby Orr from the Boston Bruins, 12-time NBA All Star Larry Bird from the Boston Celtics, home run record-setter David Ortiz from the Boston Red Sox, 5-time NFL Super Bowl winner Tom Brady from the New England Patriots, 7-time NASCAR Champion Richard Petty, World Champion Heavyweight Boxer Muhammad Ali along with his flamboyant Boxing Promoter Don King. All of the scarecrows have traditional Annalee Doll faces! They are posed and dressed in such a way that makes them easy to recognize. The famous cornstalk critters will be on display and available for photo ops between 10:00am and 3:00pm daily.
