On Saturday, August 8th the Annalee Gift Shop was filled with family and friends of all ages from seven states – as far away as Virginia! There were groups of three generations, giggling sisters, moms and daughters, husbands and wives working together, and boys and girls all wishing to make memories at Annalee! They came from all walks of life, but one common thread wove its way through the group- their appreciation of Annalee Dolls and their desire to be a designer-for-a-day!
Some participants brought visions of their mouse designs and others were inspired by the bins of colorful outfits and accessories. After choosing between the amber, gray or white mice, with the facial expression that ‘spoke’ to them, they carefully collected the perfect outfit. They scoured through containers of pants, shirts, dresses and skirts, collars, buttons, bibs and bows, straps and hats! One person brought her own accessories, but as the creative process began, the mouse became something entirely different from what she first envisioned! Each design was well thought out and came to life as the participants and the Annalee designers worked together putting on the final touches!
Clever ideas… From sports themed and chef mice to mardi gras and witch mice, the designs were truly unique and exceptionally creative. Among the most rare species were the ice fisherman, nerd, paint-baller, and the “Sweet Dreams” mice! All of the participants poured their creativity and every ounce of imagination into their one-of-a-kind creations.
Check out all the fun!
